Graphic Design Assist Needed....

completely unJW related..other than it is part of my path AWAY from Watchtower and on to fun real life stuff... lol.

I am part of a social club on my college campus that works on environmental and sustainability ("green") issues. Last semester we changed the name of the club and I also started on a new logo (currently a 1MB .bmp). We had someone working on it but they have disappeared. The logo should be fine but it needs tweaking to look professional and round off the rough edges... I do not have proper software or knowledge to fix it.

The logo will be used on t-shirts, posters, table skirt, promotional items, etc. Currently it is 2 color (blue and green), though for some applications it will be one.

I know I have seen on this forum some talented people changing Watchtower covers and such .... Is there anyone here that has graphic design expertise that can advise or assist? Even if I can use the software to tweak the logo myself, just some info on HOW would be appreciated. Reply here or PM...I will check in later. any help is appreciated.

oh you are going to laugh at me...

Paint.... yep... good ol' Microsoft Paint... I can go down to the pixel level and do things easily.

Paint let me quickly give the club officers/members an idea of what we wanted to do...but now it has to be cleaned up....apparently the college PR staff has to approve all of the new logos going forward...so it needs to be more professional (especially since I stole part of the college logo in a very clever way...LOL).

However, it is not so great at instantly waving a majic wand and making really cool graphics...and I am not the most artistic of individuals.

Paint.... yep... good ol' Microsoft Paint...

I haven't used Paint since Windows 3.11. I forgot it even existed until a few weeks ago when I needed to do something on my work computer where I have no graphics software installed. I looked at Paint for roughly 15 seconds and then decided to use Powerpoint instead. It did the job, but I prefer my Adobe suite that I use at home.

I don't have extensive experience with graphic design, but I've yet to find anything that I couldn't do with Microsoft Word Wordart.

JD.. I think because of the nature of what the pros do with the logo (uploading the file for use in tshirts and other display elements) it cant be a word doc. I have tons of experience in Microshaft Office... lol

GG and sacolton...I have PMed you my email addy... I cant PM the file, has to be email. I would post the logo here, but I have to maintain what little of my JW fader status I have left....
