  Hey...wt and outlaw. For me this is probably one of the biggest things that bothers me after standing back and looking at things. the BIBLE SAYS what your supposed to do.....grrrr

  Could you please post or direct me to where they reason this to be appropriate? Did they bring out why they changed it in the form of an explanation?

  Excuse the lecture on sociobiology. Human beings are genetically predisposed to dominate and submit and that helps to create hierachical societies religious, governmental or otherwise. Violence and deception are two other predispositions which the dominators use to keep their submissive ones in line. Now if you want to change human nature you will need some good eugenics and create the opposite of what Hitler wanted-a masterless slaveless race of congenital egalitarians.

  JWs are simply doing what filthy humanity has been doing for 10,000 years or more and I hate it as much as you do but it's human nature and that nature has to be changed down to the core of our very being.

  The last I knew, idolatry is worship to a person or organization. And, when they are in accordance with "God's spirit-directed organization", they are effectively worshiping that organization. Just observe what happens when that organization creates new doctrine that is not backed by the Bible, or worse yet, blatantly contradicts it. People will go by the organization before the Bible--which is the Bible definition of idolatry.

  Which is made serious when they claim to be the only ones that follow the Bible.
