I see both sides of the argument....... the WTS was happy to get their version out in Thai hands thus making conversion easier once the Society was fully into the area.
But, Yknot, it was not the WT's version. This was a translation done by Thai Christians. It was not the New World Translation in Thai. Apparently, it's a version that the JWs like to use, however.
There is no contradiction to WT standards for them to print 4,500 copies with their own imprint. That would be like when the WT printed copies of the American Standard Version years ago.
What is a contradiction to WT standards is for them to print 2,000 copies for a Bible Society of Christendom with the imprint of the Thailand Bible Society on them!
Why should the Watchtower Society do custom printing for "Babylon the Great"?
