...And Then The End Shall Come

    What "end" is this?

End of the world....or end of Non-Believers???

Now that the gospel has been "preached in all the world" and people have had every opportunity to "repent" and come under the subjection of the great god...time's up. There is some speculation that Jesus will not return until those "unbelievers" are removed. (read "unbelievers" as those who do not belive in Jehovah and cowtow to the dictates of those who 'speak for god'. This is the gospel move permeating through the land of christendom.)

Are we about to enter another Crusades?

Do you realize how powerful and wealty religions are?

Do you realize that non-believers are out numbered? (and they want to keep it that way! Non-believers must be taken out before they can reach too many people. Don't disturb the sleeping masses!)

here are some interesting excerpts from a (christian) college course listed under "warfield":

If we are to defend Scripture, then we should also defend the way it is presented to non-believers and make sure that a biblical gospel is preached.

We repair the holes in the nets and fix the snags when needed as we go along.

We provide reasonable answers to questions of resistance and use leading questions to expose the true nature of the remarks of rejection, so that the struggle of fallen man in the nets does not prevent us from continuing to share the Gospel.

(reasonable answers???) Who dares to argue with a 'reasonable' answer?? Off with yer head!

Modern evangelism intentionally leaves out many biblical truths because they may disturb or offend humanity,

Since we are commanded, we are therefore authorized to defy and challenge a person’s erroneous ways of thinking which contradict Scripture.

Cameo-d, are you familiar with Dominionism?

Cameo-d, are you familiar with Dominionism?

No. But I can see I need to become familiar with it.

What is your take on all this, Villaboo?

    My take is this:

As long as religion teaches "godly hate", elitest concepts (some are more special to god than others), and the religious institutions are run by corrupted people who live the high life by fleecing the flock, then it stands to reason that any "christian rule" would just be more of the same. Could you imagine WT rule on a national scale?

    excerpt: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dominionism

"Christians have an obligation, a mandate, a commission, a holy responsibility to reclaim the land for Jesus Christ -- to have dominion in civil structures, just as in every other aspect of life and godliness. But it is dominion we are after. Not just a voice. It is dominion we are after. Not just influence. It is dominion we are after. Not just equal time. It is dominion we are after. World conquest. That's what Christ has commissioned us to accomplish. We must win the world with the power of the Gospel. And we must never settle for anything less... Thus, Christian politics has as its primary intent the conquest of the land -- of men, families, institutions, bureaucracies, courts, and governments for the Kingdom of Christ." [55]

I was just rereading wikipedia. The issue also gets a little more complicated with pre and post millenialism affecting the theology but you hit it dead on with imagining WT rule on a national scale.

A good, fictional example is Margaret Atwood's The Handmaids Tale also out on video.

And to think I thought "christianity" was an option.

    Apparently not.

it's still an option for me cam

I am referring to commercial christianity, Ninja.

I am referring to political christianity, also.

It is not modeled after Jesus's philosophy.

These groups are about as christian as the WT.

I do not accept their version of it. Spitting on people and claiming you have healed them. Send more money and we will send you a free prayer cloth. Promising to feed people in 3rd world countries and instead investing the $ in stock portfoilo. This is what I see as their idea of christianity. They simply use the name Jesus as a selling point and that's it. These are the actions I see.

And from the sound of it, if you don't get in line and sign up with one of them, then, "your name will not be recorded in their book".....And we know what that means.

Their idea of christianity and my idea of it are two very different things.

It already is being pushed in schools. Children are now being forced to learn creationism, instead of evolution, in many areas of the country. They have been pushing for equal time with both paths, despite that science is catching up with evolution. I wonder how long it will be before scientists that present evidence for evolution will be put out of business, imprisoned, and their whole lives ruined.

In fact, the Flying Spaghetti Monster is a product of such forced theology. They put so much pressure on people to worship God that the atheists had to invent the Flying Spaghetti Monster as a God that does not exist, but to expose the absurdity of theism to the masses. And, if the trends continue, Christianity and Islams will destroy the earth as a place to live on--each side forcing citizens to live by their side under death threats, at which point the other side will kill them for not living up to their side of the issue.

I'm a Christian in faith. I've no interest in what people are doing or saying in politics or commerce, I'm only interested in how faith in Christ can change lives. I think that's still an option for anyone.
