Linkin Park, Audioslave (if you don't count the Soundgarden years), Coldplay, Keane, ... just to name a few off the top of my head.
If you add in bands that had albums prior to 1999 but still release stuff today, I can think of many more.

Best in the last 10 years? I don't get out much, but I have enjoyed these guys at some of the clubs around.
True, music has gone downhill in the past few years. And not because it's getting dirtier--quite the opposite, music these days is sissier, wimpier, and wussier now than it was just a few years back. The media is demanding that labels be held responsible when an act puts out a record that glorifies drugs and violence, when in fact the media itself is to blame (people that think for themselves do not shoot the cops or sell drugs just because their favorite record glorifies it).
However, there has been one refreshing exception to this: rap. The groups or artists D12, 50 Cent, Eminem, Ludacris, Nelly, and G Unit are all among my favorite musicians within the 2000-09 period.
Coldplay is my favorite as of I have all their cds. Just got the new one last month. I still love Dave Mathews Band and Foo Fighters. Anybody else?
