The scriptures say that Solomon turned away from 'god' in his later years and this is attributed to the influence of his wives.
How can this be correct? It seems that from day one Solomon had no special affection for 'god's laws' to have so many wives in the first place.
Most people would expect 700 wives and 300 concubines to be high maintainence.
Wouldn't you think there would be an awful lot of cat fights and chaos?
How do you suppose anyone could keep order without mutiny in an environment like that?
Do you suppose that Solomon had a plan?
Was it really romance that caused him to take on so many women?
Or was it for political alliances?
How did Solomon manage to keep so many women satisfied?
With so many wives, most people would go broke.
How did he support them?
...Or did they support him?
Did he build them all 'temples' and pimp them out as temple prostitutes?
