    Hi folks,

I don't have access to a WT library CD-ROM, so I was wondering if I could get some assistance. The theory of resurrection, where every single part of a person is re-created (their memories are remembered by God, they are then re-created into a re-created body), someone from my youtube channel challenged me regarding articles in the WT or Awake that state this. Any assistance would be fantastic, I know somewhere in the 2007 yearbook it mentions about re-creating all of Jesus' memories was Jehovah's greatest miracle. However I don't know the exact page. Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank You.

Wrong book, wrong year; Holy Spirit 1976

*** hs chap. 5 p. 101 pars. 43-44 The First One Anointed with Holy Spirit and Power ***

43 Paul had become a witness of the resurrection, as he boldly declared before Festus and Agrippa. (Acts 26:12-18) Also, in 1 Corinthians 15:3-8, Paul testifies that, previous to his own conversion, there were "upward of five hundred brothers" who were eyewitnesses to the fact that Jesus had been resurrected from the dead. This resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead on the third day of his death proved to be God’s greatest miracle. But God had the dynamic energy to perform it. Why was this the case? The apostle Peter indicates why, when he writes: "Christ died once for all time concerning sins, a righteous person for unrighteous ones, that he might lead you to God, he being put to death in the flesh, but being made alive in the spirit. In this state also he went his way and preached to the spirits in prison."—1 Peter 3:18, 19.

44 What did Peter mean? This: That Almighty God did not resurrect Jesus as a human person but raised him as a spirit person, an incorruptible, death-proof or immortal spirit person.

Thank you, so that definetly shows that in order for a human to become a spirit creature God must recreate them in spirit form. Which begs the question how did the Angels do this during the flood, especially since God didn't want them to do what they did.

Does anyone else know of anything that specifically mentions the recreating of memories and input into a recreated body?

    w1959 June 1st p. 346 The Resurrection Hope

    WHO, WHAT AND HOW?

The resurrection is one of the Creator’s most stupendous miracles. However, it should not stagger our faith, for God is both omniscient and omnipotent. With him nothing is too difficult or impossible. (Gen. 18:14; Matt. 19:26) It means the recreating of all those who are in "the memorial tombs," that is, in God’s memory. Who are in his memory? None of the willfully wicked nor any who incurred family or community condemnation because of being associated with the wicked. All such God forgets. (Ex. 32:33; Prov. 10:7; 11:7) Only those will experience a resurrection from the dead who either have proved themselves keepers of integrity or at least had a leaning toward righteousness but who because of ignorance did not serve God and therefore are termed the "unrighteous."—Acts 24:15.

    Cool, that's two articles.

Does anyone else have anything to add here as well?

Here is a question I have NEVER seen asked, let alone answered.

It is claimed that Jesus died and then God (three days later) resurrected him in a new spiritual body (according to The Watchtower).

What about Jesus before he came to earth?

I would appear that God would have to DESTROY Jesus, in effect killing him, beforing transferring the memories to an earthly body.

Otherwise there would be two beings calling themself "Jesus", one in heaven, and the other on earth.

The above is NOT speculation, it follows directly from what The Watchtower teaches.

The Watchtower system has an extremely well tuned editorial policy that sifts out any offending terminology, or phraseology that are likely to embarrass the leadership. Hence you will not find, especially among the later issues of Watchtower publications such words as "recreate" or even the latest stumbling block for the GB: "the generation of 1914" [Since 1995, the words "generation" and "1914" are never permitted to be in congruity]

However there is the occasional slip, and in connection with what you asked, I can only find one time when the word "recreate" slipped past the editorial oversight committee. This was the 1977 publication "Life Does Have A Purpose" which on page 175 makes this comment:

"God will accurately recreate each individual with his entire life pattern"

    Hope this helps.

Even the dead will be remembered. Countless millions of humans of all races and religions will be brought back to life from their sleep of death. This will not be a rebirth or transmigration of a soul. Rather, God Almighty will recreate human bodies, and from his unfailing memory he will provide them with their former life patterns and personalities, so that they will be recognized again by their loved ones.

You can thus see that at the time of death, the previously alive person, or the living soul, ceases to exist. The body goes back to “dust” or to the elements of the earth either gradually by burial and subsequent decay or hastened by cremation. Jehovah told Adam: “Dust you are and to dust you will return.” (Genesis 3:19) How, then, is life after death possible? It is because God has his own memory of the person who died. Jehovah has the miraculous power and ability to create humans, so it should not be surprising that he in his memory can preserve a record of the life pattern of the individual. Yes, all prospects for that one to live again rest with God.

‘But,’ you may ask, ‘what about the dead? Do they count with the Great Shepherd?’ They certainly do! That is why the apostle Paul “was declaring the good news of Jesus andtheresurrection.” (Acts 17:18) Surely, the resurrection is an outstanding example of Jehovah’s concern for the individual. Why so? Because it shows that He has kept a record, down to the most minute detail, of the personality of those who are to be restored to life. The Supreme Controller of the universe, with its millions of galaxies and stars, is undaunted by the need to recall all that personality data and to imprint it in a recreated brain and heart. Little wonder that Jesus proclaimed with conviction: “Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his [Jesus’] voice and come out.”—John 5:28, 29.

    Hope this helps
