Hi to all. I'm new here and couldn't find a forum for introductions. So here it is... I'm Tom. Born in 73 to JW parents, left home when I was 17 because of the mind control. I’ve been managing ever since, but after a recent conversation with my mom, I’ve realized how much the way I was raised has affected my life and relationships with others. So I’m here to read and learn about other’s experiences, and maybe relate to someone looking for a friend on the outside that understands what they’ve missed by being born this way.

You enjoy the following book:
Combatting Cult Mind Control by Steve Hassan

This book really helped me to deconstruct the cult experience. It illustrated to me how certain fears that I had were irrational, and that had been planted into my mind by subtle indoctrination by the cult.

welcome tom!....and i am about ten years older than you and born in too dammit.......i only wish i had been as smart as you and decided it was a cult as you did at 17.........curious about than conversation with your mom and the effect it had on you...share later
i missed all the school friends i had....once out of school they just dropped of radar (my choice i guess...once away from school i could be a good little dub and pioneer) but how i wish i could have gone to college...how i wish i had started saving for retirement earlier....how i wish i had bailed in 1995......oompa
