I've got a collection of $7 Wal-Mart ties in every color (and I mean every color, you name it!). They're all silky, shiny and solid colors, no designs. Makes it easy to match things up when you're colorblind like me. I accumulated them slowly over time buying one here and there as I bought groceries.
What was your necktie collection like?

Amazing. The silk ones seem to be the strongest.

Damn Coco! You're a looker.
I threw them all out - bought a REAL suit, $2000.00 that is. I rarely wear it.

Apparently CoCo doesn't need a future Paradise to attain perfection.

*&^%!
No wonder you're busy - all those lonely house-wives getting you to clean those windows and all. You probably make 200K per year.

I was counseled for wearing this tie. It was too bright. My response was to buy the next one.

I ended up with about 15 ties I bought from the Crap Marts for around $8 apiece, and mostly in line with what they expected me to wear. I also had (and threw out) a half dozen ties that were completely stupid, including a solid white (to wear with a solid white dress shirt).

I collect vintage ties, have since b4 i left. I have hundreds, mostly from the 1940's-60's. I had one that had mirrored scrollwork down the front that I got at a garage sale. Sitting in the meeting one day, I realized that it was mirrored calligraphy. The word? Bullshit. Talk about feeling weird for the rest of the meeting...

I don't know, Avishai. Seems kind of appropriate to me!

I think the "brothers" were afraid to counsel me about my ties. I had a vast collection of "animal" ties.
I wouldn't wear one that was too distracting for a public talk, but otherwise would wear ties that had a
wolf howling at the moon or lions gathering at the waterhole.Stuff like this:
When I didn't wear the ones with scenes, I would wear animal ties with an animal pattern repeated over and over again.
Here are some similar to what I mean:
