Has anyone considered a joint effort to write a book about JWs?

There are plenty of books about the Society out there but has anyone considered a joint venture - there's enough stories on here to fill a library.

A joint venture of several writers might be what we need to get the message out.

No, but I did consider a "joint" effort. Lighting up now.

I have thought that this would be a great idea.

What kind of book are you talking about? Our individual experiences? Or a doctrinal study?

How about a book on true life shunning stories?

Gunshy on JWS (www.jwsupportforum.com) suggested that just a few weeks ago.

Yes, one about transfusion refusal issues, but I never was able to collect enough stories to fill a book (ones that I had permission to publish).

I got a couple of chapters for you. Rebel, got a good transfusion chapter. I think I responded to a thread from Awakened at Gilead a while back about his interest in compiling stories of how disfellowshipping affected people.

I may be "in" for a couple of chapters, if it's about disfellowshipping and its effects. One chapter on me and one chapter on my son, who was DF'd while still a teen for smoking.

Only thing is, since we don't know eachother here really, could all of us be sued for libel if one person lies?

I would be willing to jump in with a bit about what it is like being a study and hearing all this bizarre doctrine.
