Did you loose your faith after leaving the false?

I have always said I left a man-made organisation, not God.

I learnt that Christ wants a relationship with the individual, not the church or organisation they belong to.

I was hurt not by God, but by scheming men.

I attend a church for fellowship, and its is fellowship, not just "attending church" there is none of that dread of "having to go" .

@ jaguarbass - "I discern to a degree, that if I want answers to all my questions then my faith will be rocked."

Dude, if you had all the answers, why would you need faith? ;-)

I'm a believer, in Jehovah at that, but I remain with this embarassing question : if jehovah doesn't give the WTS his approval, which seems to be the case, why then has He allowed that deceiving organisation to fool so many millions of honest hearted people, capitalizing on His name ?

Ripounsous, questions like you ask, may lead to destroying your faith.

Jehovah is the god of the bible and the catholics and the baptist and he is the God of

    the moslems aka yhwh.

So why does he allow all the shxt to go down?

Maybe reincarnation, maybe evoling to a higher dimension? 2 posibilities I come up with.

If you want to know who Jehovah is read the Slave species of God by Michael Tellinger. google it

check out the reviews on Amazon. Its one of the best books I have ever read and I read

    2 a week.

@ aligot ripounsous - is it his name? Acts 1:8 says Christians have to be witnesses of Jesus, not of Jehovah.

    PWP,

You can be witness of both can't you ? Honestly, whether it is His real name or not doesn't really matter to me, I took from the JWs that He is identified as the god of the Bible and his having a name makes sense. I still cling to that teaching, doesn't have to be wrong just because it comes from the WTS.

    Jaguar,

I'll google what you say but I'm not sure I understand your post. What does shxt stand for, btw ?

aligot: ... why then has He allowed that deceiving organisation to fool so many millions of honest hearted people ... ?

That's between you and "Jehovah," although I will say, as a honest-hearted atheist, his nonexistance is the simplest answer.

As for the millions of honest-hearted people, some of the most vicious people I've ever met have been dubs. Many other dubs, especially elders, honest-heartedly bully, shun, or molest other dubs, including innocent children. If you throw in their blood policy, you can add murder-by-proxy to the list, too.

As a group, they're the most back-biting, gossip-mongering, and smugly patronizing bunch of human beings I've ever seen. I left the dubs 30 years ago, and I still haven't met any group of people as just plain mean as they are.

And I haven't even started on the WTS itself yet.

I haven't lost my faith in God. But I don't pray like I did before. I don't read the bible like I did before. I don't know how to understand scripture. What do I trust. The trust issue is big with me right now. Trusting myself in what I believe. Because I fell so easy to the watchtower teachings and I can't let myself be lead down that road again.
