Has there been any news on whether it is safe to still eat pork?

Any moves to stop the sale of pork?

I am planning to have Italian sausage tonight!

    Good bye cold cruel world!

Bon appetit and bon voyage (maybe)!

    How long is incubation?

No, flu cannot be transmitted via food products like pork. That doesn't mean eating pork on a regular basis won't contribute to chronic arteriosclerosis.

NO, but you can get other nasty stuff when 'porking'. :)

    Pork is safe to eat.

The function to cooking meat is to kill all of the bacteria, viruses and parasites. Therefore eating cooked pork is perfectly safe.

Cooking doesn't stop mad cow disease.

No, but I've heard Midol helps.

Here is a good alternative: vegetarian BBQ "pork."

There is a whole group dedicated to fake "meat" on Flickr: Faux meats - all vegetarian

Unfortunately, "cooking meat" is not sufficient when it comes to Mad Cow disease.

Prions are highly resistant to heat, ultraviolet light, radiation, and disinfectants that normally kill viruses and bacteria. Prions may infect humans who eat meat from infected cattle. Even cooking meat infected with BSE does not eliminate the prions or the risk.
