It's my understanding that this is from the Dec. 15, 2007 WT. Can anyone verify that? A scan would be nice, or at least a page number.

Sheesh! Jehovah's Witnesses don't believe in a geologic time scale (Earth is 4.5 billion years old; Homo Sapiens is at least 100,000 years old...) but this "time of the end" is moving at the pace of plate tectonics.... 1914, 1918, 1925, 1940, 1975, what number came after that??? I was out by then...
Even glaciers move faster than this!!! You can SEE glacial movement after 5-10-15 years; but after 130+ years of "The End is Coming!" "The End is Coming!" "The End is Coming!" - nuttin'!!!

I regret I have no scan or cd rom yet on this 'puter. The WTS are masters at speaking out of the side of their mouth.
It is possible to find quotes that put things more liberally, saying that God has yet to make judgement and that we must await his decision as to whom will be saved ..This gives comfort to the millions of reasonable dubs who do not want the innocent to die.
There are many more instances when that say that only J W's will be saved, and that you have to be within it to have hope of survival. That is what the belief really is, everybody knows that you have to be "In the Truth" to get through Armageddon. That is why the F/Service is a "lifesaving work"- there would be no urgency otherwise.
This is just a way to get people into the organization. It might survive, but the people trapped within it will not. Unless, that is, they are doing everything they can, selling out totally, and not holding anything back.
In fact, I doubt anyone will survive. Because, if you are working to the extent you need to be in order to survive, you will spend every bit of energy on it right at the end, and die from that. If you are still alive, it's because you were not doing enough, and you will die for that.
.....so the rest of us (6,000,000,000+) will all be destroyed because we're not members of the Watchtower Society. Typical cult mentality.
