Thanks all for the welcome. I was (and still am) up to my hip pockets in local politics. Our Planning Commission and City Council meetings are televised locally. Can you believe I have had a couple of citizens tell me they appreciate my bluntness? Also a couple who have told me I am too blunt? I warned the folks I didn't have the temperament for politics but they picked me anyway.
Our little city is being run by an inexperienced City Administrator and a contracted, slick willy City Planner who chase grants and get us into a bunch of stuff we don't need and can't afford.
