Looks great. The Blue Angels are a regular feature around here in August. I love watching them. Last weekend a B-17 flew over, they're in town to show off for a few days. It's always interesting to see one of the old warbirds in the air.

I love air shows.
You missed a good one in Manhattan last week. Obama put it on. Perhaps you saw it on the news?

They're pretty good. The last one I was at a few years ago at Alliance Airfield north of Ft. Worth. It was pretty cool, they had WWII planes, standard assortment of jet fighters. They also had the Royal Canadian Air Force performers the Snowbirds, they were alright. There was also some guy in a piper ( i think) called "The Avenger", all he did was do figure eight's while the announcer kept saying "IT'S THE AVENGER!!!!" "HERE COMES THE AVENGER!!!".

We have one in Oshkosh, WI every year in the fall. I went back in 2000. The Blue Angels were at that one, too.

I've gone to the streets near an airshow a couple of times but did pay an entrance fee to go see one in Winnipeg. It was very interesting. They had everything on the ground for us to see except the stealth jets. We got to go inside some of the huge cargo planes which was very interesting. They also had a few old planes - crop dusters, stunt planes, helicopters etc. The also had the snowbirds on the ground and later saw them perform. And we got to see them pick up a truck with a helicopter and drop it off the side of the airfield.
I don't know that I would go again. to pay - like planes are planes

Oh yeah they also had a truck with jet engines race a F4-U Corsair. They let the truck win to keep the hicks happy. The Corsair wasn't going fast enough for the air to whistle over the oil coolers.

Dude, airshows so rock. I think as a kid I had my first erection at one. Other kids went to the mall. I went to the airport to watch the jets (MIA). I used to go to the side of the runway by the fence for when the Concordes took off to Europe. Then I got my FAA Airframe license at 19.
