Snakes are creepy... I have a love hate relationship with them. I love to look at them watch them etc but I HATE to touch them ugh yucky! Anyway as to giving up the friendship over it...
Please don't take this the wrong way but you're sort of a dick for doing that...

Talking about snakes... my father and I rescued over 12 snakes from a pile of old roofing shingles. He just wanted to haul them off to the dump and I said "No. I bet there are snakes in there and since we humans put the pile here, we should make sure the snakes get out." Took us the morning. There was this really cool bright green grass snake in there! It was neat.
At any rate, I've known some humans to eat worse than a snake does. One guy at work, you just don't sit across from him or you get spewed on. Nuff, said!
