ya know, just as a sidenote, I woke up this morning and got agitated cuz of the thought of that July 2009 Awake comment someone posted on here (about the statement "nobody should be made to choose between their religion and family" malarky...)....yet just another one of the blatent lies they tell.

Hello Sad Michael - is your appearance on this site connected with your wife 'leaving' the Watchtower? I imagine (correct me if I'm wrong) you wouldn't be here if she was still attending? You mentioned she now holds 'apostate' views, so perhaps you're curious?
I arrived here purely by accident (a few years ago now). I'd already left the WT, BUT I still firmly believed it was the 'Truth'. I felt a little (well, VERY)uncomfortable reading the words of 'apostates' (sorry all, lol). And then I spotted the thread about the United Nations - I was horrified. All of what I'd been 'taught' came flooding back, about the UN being an abomination etc - and there it was, staring me in the face, the Watchtower's association with the UN. Did I believe the words of apostates (sorry again folks, lol)? I did my own research, found the newspaper article etc - oh, but not to worry, the Watchtower severed its TEN YEAR association with the UN, the DAY AFTER it was published in the British press.
From the above example, I went on to discover the Watchtower itself is guilty of many things it condemns. Then it lies to the JWs.
