I always tell this to people that freak out about little news stories like this.
Just imagine the news media in the time of the plague? It was so bad that entire villages disappeared. We loaded boats with the afflicted and burned them. We actually saw the loss of entire family lines. Etc. Etc. and so on.
The media is just reporting the latest news. Compared to some major major problems of the past. This is nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!

Overseas six months ago and had a night of scratching and restless sleep. Didn't think until the next night. Middle of the night I felt something crawling on my skin. Sudden realisation then on with the head torch. First, little blood stains, then moving critters. Yup, Bed bugs.
Suffice to say, I made it clear to staff that I was sleeping in another room next night. They were so embarrassed....
