I'd like to look into the book more. I haven't read it. I am not sure what the exact points of the book are. I can say that by 50, I have learned that young men and women, ideally, should mature and grow into themselves and learn to be their own ME before they settle into a serious long term, live in relationship or marriage. And ideally, people should know themselves and be true to themselves, not forsake who they truly are to please anyone else. It's not necessary to change who you are in order to keep the peace. You can be true to yourself and still treat others as you want to be treated.
