The last one is called "Full Circle", and completes the tryptych.

Yeah, my Wiccan friend that asked me to watch Burning Times asked me to also watch Goddess Remembered and said it was part of a series. She's so funny. I knew her before my JW days. She's a midwife, but we did a lot of work with childbirth together and were very close. I was with her when her last child was born. Anyway, she was pulled toward the Pagan and Wicca and I was sucked up into the JW's. We spoke occasionally, but not often. I looked her up after I left, and we were just as close----even though she insists on calling me her little green witch. LOL After our first call in years, she said just before we hung up, "Welcome home sister." And it was like I hadn't judged her for the last 20 years.
Anyway---I can't be a witch, cuz you know me, I'll want things measured and verified and repeated along side a control group.

Back in the day, when I was a childbirth assistant, there were so many babies and so many pregnant women, and only so many cute little booties you could look at, (oh god, and only so many mindless games) that she and I and a group of friends would throw Blessing Ways for our pregnant women instead. It's a Native American rite, full of symbols and bonding that is done for major transitions. We really liked our Blessing Ways----then these two women knocked at my door and I wouldn't have anything to do with them anymore. I think I probably really hurt her feelings, and even thought I'd have to make ammends.
Nope. She was serene and accepting and simply embraced me again. There is such a different attitude and energy with this, that I can totally tolerate and enjoy it. Which is really odd for me since I tend to have little patience for other believers. Oh well.
All of these memories are flooding back, and it's late and may have a tendency to ramble, but those were really good times with good people.

NC, that is beautiful "welcome home sister".
I can't be wicca, either, for the same reasons. That being said, I have used some of their rituals; sending negative energy down INTO the earth, and burying a crystal to re-energize it with the moon cycles are two. I also find the burning of the sage (forget what it's called) can be a refreshing, cleansing feeling in one's home (smudging?).
Oh, and Goddess Remembered,,, is awesome!!!! THe third film didn't impress me as much as the first two, but I def. agree with your sistah-friend about the first 2 being must-sees.

Oh she gives me chants, and I sing them. I don't believe anything magical happens, but they are soooo affirming, especially for women. Empowering, and my theory is they simply get my brain working on a really healthy track. My favorite is
Changes, Changes, Everything she touches changes.
She recently pulled together a retreat, and Telling Point was there.
I know what you mean,, when I met my wicca friends (training at a rape centre), I was afraid of ritual (due to other things in my childhood), and shyed away from the invitation to join their circle. Many of the 'earth' practioners are just that -- in touch with the rhythms of nature, and perhaps more accepting of fear in others as a natural thing.
I'm so happy for your reunion! What a beautiful song, by the way.
They also had Kelliana there.
