    b the ex:

Just tell the elders that she's your nurse and dietician... hey, it worked for Rutherford.

nah..she's here cleaning my house.... more believable... or I can just tell them to take a flying leap.... or have her answer the door...and go boo!

Dont know why but the song from south pacific...happy talking came to mind. Isnt there a line that goes something like....how to make your dream come true? Well I wish you all the best...love is a most splendid thing.

Happy for you finding someone nice. If you need a chaperone let us know. :-)

    I believe I said I am a gentleman. I am pretty sure I wouldn't post that here.

Which is why you make a good friend....and will earn trust. Also why I wish you all happiness.

I have been married almost forty years, and we are great friends.....and my husband is a gentleman. You are on the right track.

    Congrats

Sure you're "spiritually weak" but I personally haven't ever heard of people getting df'd for marrying a non-jw. I'm sure it could happen but they most likely would try and get you into a conversation where you spill the beans on other feelings you have on the org. So in that sense I see where you are coming from. OTOH it might be the best way to fade (they just give up on you). You never really know.

    Snakes, I'm thrilled for you!

You ARE a gentleman, and deserve the best in life.

I'm still hoping for that meetup in Gee's Bend - I bet she'll be fascinated by the stuff down here.

while I am sure you and your lovely bride would make great chaperones, I am pretty certain it's a little late for that...

....and her 8 year old son...who was with us yesterday, would have been a lousy chaperone had we wanted one (which we dont).... challenging us to kiss so he could watch....little stinker.... .. hate to think what he was telling his little school buddies today...lol

Although I may end up owing that kid big time if things work out.... 8 year olds say things you want to say but hesitate 'cause your an adult... caused his momma to blush to no end throughout most of the day...much to my kind amusement.... it was like "ok, what's embarrasing question is he going to ask next?" ...and believe me, he asked some embarrasing ones.

    ah what fun..

I had to look that place up... if that's where you are, you are about 3.5 hours NW of my mom and stepdad... that would be an interesting trip...

    LOL.

    I'm not IN Gee's Bend.

    Because I'm not a Pettway, I don't fit in.

I'm down the river a ways from there.
