Hi all
Just wanted to post here to say i am now 1 year sober. Funny thing is i don't miss drink at all, it took a 3 or 4 months of hard work about 18 months ago and have not looked back since.

I would encourage anyone who thinks they may have a problem to get help, it is out there.
Since i have become sober i am now doing a law degree, took up scuba diving, got my kids involved in snorkelling, scuba, horse riding and shooting. I have a new social circle which takes time. I have debunked the JW myth and now feel free to explore my own spirituality and beliefs.
It can be done and it's not as daunting as it may look. 18 months ago if someone would have told i could go a month without a drink i wouldn't have believed them.
Anyway, thanks to all here who has given me support, especially in the early days when i really needed that help.
