There was also Spike and Chester from Warner brothers. Spike was the bulldog, and Chester was the Chihuahua I believe. Spike chased Sylvester the cat, and the cat became a Kangaroo. I remember that as a kid a long time ago.

I loved the one when Spike adopted a little kitten and let it sleep on his back.
