Gas or Charcoal?

  We have a gas grill but I prefer charcoal or a wood fire. We've been doing both in our gas grill lately. We're out of propane and I don't care. We're just putting charcoal or wood into the grill.

  Gas at home, my husband works late, charcoal is too much to juggle.

  I prefer a wood fire.I try to light that and spend a quiet evening talking around the fire & cooking.

  Gas, I hate the sooty chemical flavor of charcoal.

  Our neighbor uses red oak. It's fantastic.

  I prefer mesquite but gas is much easier.
