Isn't it odd that Jehovah's Magic Spirit would direct the leadership of the Watchtower Bible & Tract Society to conform to the chauvinistic attitudes prevailing among the social strata from which those "faithful slaves" were supposedly selected?
Why didn't Jehovah's Magic Spirit enlighten the minds of bigots so that they could be beacons of truth for the rest of Godless Society?
The answer is self-evident if you think about it for a moment. the "faithful slave" is a fraud, the Magic Spirit is a fraud, and the Jehovah is a fraud.
The only thing behind the curtain is bluster and hot air.

Great letter Sylvia.....you do a great job of asking and answering questions with a very level mind!!!
I just wish I could get my wife who is an on again off again (currently on) study to read past literature, but even when I open the 'current' literature like the reasoning book and point out issues, she already can parrot out the new light statement and how wonderful it is that the JWs are willing to change.......BUT THE BIBLE DOES NOT CHANGE, IT IS THE SAME IN THE PAST, THE PRESENT, AND THE FUTURE

Good work. This offsets the letter she probably got last week from an older dub citing the same WT material and assuring her that in the new system - if she gets back in the fold and remains faithful - her skin will turn white as a reward ("Can a Leopard Lose Its Spots?").
Gotta love that WT writing department. What possessed them to save everything they ever wrote?

Sylvia, nice job, indeed! I have no truck with anyone or any organization that has these kinds of prejudicial views. Did the WTS print any retractions to this? There was a recent news report ( http://www.jehovahs-witness.net/jw/friends/176485/1/Yikes-The-end-is-immenent ) that had a Black Witness talking about the 'imminence' of Armageddon. I guess they feel it is ok now for a Black man to represent them on national television. What changed their minds?

Maybe "The View" could have a segment on destructive cults or on different religions (including cults) and what their beliefs are. I'm sure they'd have to be treading some fine lines as they wouldn't want to get sued. It could make for some interesting, if not comical, television and could inform a lot of people who may not be aware.

I hadn't read the articles at Freeminds on racism before, but wow, how disgusting. They had the typical racist attitudes of many of that time.
Further proof that they have no special enlightenment from God. I know many JWs who are inordinately proud of the WTS lack of racism, but I'm sure they have no idea what a recent development that is...one that corresponds with the civil rights movement, the same time many Americans became more enlightened about the wrongness of racial discrimination.
Nothing miraculous or godly there, just the WTS catching up with the social progress of America in general.
