I didn't mean to be misleading in the title. Never having been JW myself, I don't always know the correct wording to things.
They are actually a blink away from booting her out, but don't want to unless they can't drag her back. I don't know why they're going to the extra effort except perhaps because she's made a bit of a name for herself locally as being Super-Pioneer for many years, and also their congregation is dying on the vine. For now she can't pioneer, they said, though they still expect her to do everything else.
It is a shocker for them as last month she was attending everything and doing it all. They had no clue. She didn't confide in anyone except me. For her part, she says she's finished with them, but is afraid to actually come out and tell them so.
They don't know -- yet -- that she's attending another church and will hopefully join it. As her eyes have slowly been opening, she's been leading more and more of a double life, as so many on this board are forced to do.
Now she's finally ready to be done with them, but my fear -- and hers -- is that they'll pull her back in. She's a sensitive, fragile soul. Standing up to bullies isn't something she's ever been able to do. The Elders cornered her and she was badly frightened. That's when she phoned me.
I credit this site and it's predecessor coupled with much fervent prayer for giving me the tools I needed to help her get this far.
The next couple of months will be such a nail biter!

Wow....that picture of Christ was just SUPER and shows exactly the joy he feels when a lost one finds him and GOES to him!
How wonderful to hear yet another WTS adorer has left the coldness of this cult and found comfort in the Risen Christ!
