My brothers saved their money and bought an acoustic 6 string at the T, G & Y 5 and Dime. They learned to play very well and had a band with two of good friends' brothers. The song makes me think of them and their 60's garage/backyard band and of course the 80's when Brian Adams hit with the song Summer of 69.

Ah, Brown Sugar and Honkey Tonk Woman are my favorite Stones songs. I love them.
MTV killed music--IMHO. (Now they don't even play music. How ironic!) It no longer matters how you sound or what crap you write. It depends on how you look and if teens can be convinced that you are cool.

Don't forget Clear Channel, Dinah. They suck.

Dinah, have you heard Electric Feel by Mgmt? It sounds like the Stones. I listened to an interview with the two guys and they mentioned The Stones.

Yes, Clear Channel too. Most radio stations only have about 30-40 songs and you hear them over and over and over and over and over. The whole "Music Industry" killed rock and roll.
I still love Green Day. And I absolutely LOVED it when Billie Joe gave Wal-Mart the finger and refused to edit their new CD so it could be sold at Wal-Mart. I've heard the cd, I don't really see the big deal. Their cd is selling nicely, even without the support of the hulking retail bully.

Companies have to pay to have their music played on Clear Channel Stations and they have to pay even more for the artists to named on air. They use influence, read $$ power, to force extremely formula music to be recorded by record companies. No wonder we hear little unique sounding music on the radio.
