So here in the JW complex, well, 90% are JW's, a couple of my friends had a BBQ yesterday. I was invited. They had heard about some of my comments and questions regarding the Organization, but I guess they forgot about that.
The friends there were from three different congregations. The young teenagers sat on the porch and talked amongst themselves. There was a prayer, talking about the unity in the Organization and the privilege of having the Truth. The food was good.
Then the host asked a brother visiting from Russia how he came into the truth. He said he studied with the Witnesses to prove them wrong, and then he became a Witness. Everyone loved the experience.
The host has friends in Bethel, in fact he served in Bethel for a year. He told us how the magazine printing is moving to Canada, and how the Society tried to buy some property near Walkill but the deal didn't go through. He said how Jehovah moves some things to happen when he wants to, so we have to be patient.
That's it. The hosts never showed the tiniest crack in their faith. They are in their late 30's with no children, raised in the truth.
Again, no one talked as if there was any separation between the WT Society and the Bible. It's all one big Truth. Completely interchangeable.
Sometimes I think there are cracks showing in the Organization, and then sometimes I think it will last for a long time.
Discouraging. I am glad I went though, I don't want to be outed yet. I have some big plans.
The food was good.
