Apparently the latest circuit overseer service talks are entitled:

    (1) "How much do you appreciate Jehovah's provision of the Faithful Slave"

    (2) "Directed by God's Spirit in Our Ministry"
Unfortunately, due to family reasons I will be attending these 'faith strenghtening' talks... :(

Anyone heard of these or can shed some light on their contents?

The first one sounds like just another "The GB is appointed by God so you better obey us or God will kill you" I'm sure they are also using this talk to warn the sheeples not to listen to anyone who speaks against them. Probably warning them to stay of the internet as well.

The second one is probably one of those "Get your asses out in service, you worthless slackers!" talks.

I see they are trying to somehow keep up the fascade that the organisation is spirit driven....

Got any cotten wool - stuff your ears with that.

or you could listen and then bring up some interesting points afterwards with regards to who the slave is , was , has been in times gone by. The FDS claims to be directly appointed by Christ - Christ is obviously sending out confusing messages to these imperfect men - see topic Who / What is Faithful & Discreet Slave

I think my mom must've heard one of the talks already or else has gone thru a recent brain numbing washtowel session regarding the "fraudulent deceitful sewage dispensers" because her and my brother were on the phone and something came up where he mentioned our pastor at our church we attend and she made a big point about "why do you have to call him pastor ?". He explained that it's biblical according to all but the NWT since they change the words and she went into "well ask him if he knows anything about the faithful discreet slave, they're in the bible too". Seems like they're really pumping themselves up more than ever lately.

The worship and idolatry of the FDS was a huge factor to my breaking from the mind control of the WTS. EVERY prayer, most talks would mention the FDS, to the point where it felt just wrong, giving as much attention to the FDS as God. Dissonance was building and building until I broke free.

I hope this is causing others in the faith to have dissonance and break free too.

Perhaps history is repeating itself. This was a surprising paragraph 17 years ago in a study article.

*** w92 11/15 pp. 19-20 par. 7 Serve Jehovah Loyally ***Especially should appointed elders appreciate the nourishing spiritual food provided by God through the faithful slave. Years ago a few elders lacked such appreciation. One observer noted that these men "were critical of the articles in TheWatchtower, not wanting to accept it as . . . God’s channel of truth, always trying to influence others in their way of thinking." However, loyal elders never try to influence others to reject any of the spiritual food provided by God through the faithful slave.

    Followed by this

But what if it is hard for us to accept or fully appreciate some Scriptural point presented by the faithful slave? Then let us humbly acknowledge where we learned the truth and pray for wisdom to deal with this trial until it comes to an end with some published clarification of matters.—James 1:5-8.

What ever happened to not worshiping idols? Well, this is pretty blatantly idolatry--you are supposed to worship the Filthful and Disgraceful Slavebugger. And, get out in field circus.

Yes, this is the same crap I have heard throughout my too-long career as one of Jehovah's Witlesses.
