I think the original "no collection plate" is officially "old light" isn't it? I mean, it's boxes instead of plates. ( same horse different breed) They make mention of the boxes often do they not? The congregations are "strongly encouraged" each November to give give give and give some more. Then now with the new "pledge slips" it is even worse than a collection plate. The members are almost forced into giving a pledge and then try too give that pledge regardless of circumstances, or be made to feel the guilt.
The no collection plate claim is a huge farce.
