1. Yes - I think it has started, it will be sort of an ongoing process, lasting for decades, centuries, perhaps even millennias.
2. In about 30 years I will have reached the first line and will be somewhat reluctantly waiting for my name to be whispered.

No, when our Lord and Savior utters the words, "Come up here!" to his church and all those who received Holy Spirit will instantly be changed from what is mortal to immortal in a twinkle of an eye to be forever with the Lord.
Then the world will be in spiritual darkness during the time known as Tribulation.

So why just because a person's name is in the news makes them a candidate for the "rapture." Update: 150,000 people die everyday, 2 celebrities do not a "rapture" make.

World population: 6,600,000,000. Death rate: 0.9 %. Number of deaths = 59,400,000 per year. Per day = 162,740. Today, MJ, FF + 162,738 more who never got it to the front page. Regretfully, 'cause their next of kin surely grieved just as much.
