I never liked rap music until the Washtowel Babble and Crap Slaveholdery banned it, and then Jehovah p***ed me off to the extent that I was going to start listening to it anyways. Then I found out that it was good music.
And my favorite rap album is 50 Cent "The Massacre". That has to be the "dirtiest" CD of all time, and the witlesses hate the dirty music (gun shots, swearing, and drugs).
I can't forget Puff Daddy and the Family's "No Way Out" either. I wore it out back in the day.
As far as the Peppers, I know it sounds funny to call them rap. But "Under The Bridge" was probably their first non-rap song, really.
The only Rap song that ever caught my attention was a parody by Hustler Magazine on MC Hammer. The deal featured a guy in parachute pants all smeared with a brown substance and the caption read, "Yo! I'm da baddest Crapper & dat ain't NO SHIT! I got a load in my pants, Let's PLAY Wit IT!"
The only other stuff I can handle was Ice T's older stuff.

Gave up listening to rap when WT came down on it, but I listened to quite a bit. My favorite at the time was stuff like Tribe Called Quest - Low End Theory.
I can't imagine listening to a whole rap album.
