This is taken from the writings of Max Heindel, who founded the Rosecrusian Fellowship in 1909. These writings are considered to be the "Esoteric Teachings of Christianity"--"The pioneer spiritual teachings which will prepare all humanity for the New Age of Aquarius, when all nations will join in Universal Brotherhood."

The negative path is those who desire to have a leader, someone to follow. Churchmen of the world...who obey the teachings of leaders.

First of all, I see WT speak in this last phrase.
The usage of the word "permitted" is disturbing. It has been used in WT publications in this same ambiguous manner.
Who is doing this permitting? Who is orchestrating this calamity? "is permitted"...this language tells me there is a connection between WT and these secret society operatives.
Is it an evil god orchestrating this killing or is it perhaps men who do these things claiming to speak for god?
This manuscript goes on to promote the view that the various stories of life after death through the ages have all been given as a comfort to "take away the sting of death." Almost every civilization has made a great show of burying the dead and mourning. So a comfort for this grief has been necessary. Humans have elaborately embalmed themselves to preserve their form into the next word. From evidence left behind, many have believed they could carry their earthly treasures with them. I suppose it afforded some "comfort" to believe this.
In the story of Jesus it is implied that martyrdom and self sacrifice is noble. Some are led to believe in a new life after death in a place far, far, away where everything is perfect. Some believe there will be a hero rescue before things get 'really bad'. It is idealistic comfort and keeps them blind right up until the end is upon them.
JWs get a unique twist on the story, being told they will not go off into the heavens but will remain here and all the poisons in our air and water will be mystically changed into perfection along with the human body. This is another of the mysticisms spoken of that is contrasted with occultism.
It appears that the formation of this New System or New World cannot take place until the majority of the population has been annhiliated. Smaller groups make for better control. It has happened before.
The manuscript also goes into detail of what appears will be the teachings of the New Age; the new comfort which will 'take away the sting of death'. It will be centered around the immortality of the soul and reincarnation.
