Odrade's Back!!!

  Maybe you can give me some green thumb tips Odrade. (That is whenever you are free from queen duties stuff).

  My wife's walking partner gave her a Ficus tree over a year ago in a nice pot. It never grew at all. So last week I took it out of the pot and planted in the yard.

  (And it took me an hour to dig that whole big enough in hot summer sun!!!)

  But then when she came home to see it she had a big ole COW. It turns out that Ficus tree that never grew in a year grows to over 100 feet with monster-like roots.

  But I spent an hour digging that hole...

  Bwahahaha!!! So, do you need a 100' tree in your yard? I'm afraid I am not the one to be asking advice. My poor gardening judgment is the reason why I am now digging up the front yard! Well like most things, the root size determines the tree size. You could surround the roots with sheet metal the way they do with bamboo I suppose. Ficus don't really grow here.

  I told her she can dig it up if she wants to move it. It's still there.

  I spent an hour on that hole already. It could be 1000 feet tall and I'm still done with digging.
