Yeah, financial independence would really help you escape ALL aspects of WTBTS control - or attempted control by the WTBTS. That's the main reason the old guys at Bethel rant and rave against college educations - all those little Witnesses, scurrying away to higher-paying jobs - and better information about the true origins of the bible - and out from under the WTBTS' thumb...
