smell of cigars

  I recall about 15 years ago, I had a semi heated discussion with my cousin about cigars. I maintained that there would be nothing wrong with having cigars just for the smell, never lighting them, or lighting them and letting them burn while you're not around. Some have a very pleasant smell. He maintained that this would be wrong because it might stumble the person whom you buy the cigars from or anyone who might happen to see them.

  I was pondering this exchange a few days ago, and came to the conclusion that it was a very petty subject that should never have warranted serious consideration. Thoughts?

  I love the smell of an unlit cigar and pipe tobacco. When I was pregnant with my third child I went on a cruise and in port in Nassau I found a cigar shop that I just couldn't stay out of.

  I remember an old neighbor who dad used to go and visit a lot. He always had a pipe smoking, and it smelled good. Is it the time, or the smell that makes me nostalgic?
