I believe that we will be resurrected here on earth in immortal human bodies in what is called the Kingdom of the Heavens or Kingdom of God. To a Jewish mind this simply means a Kingdom under God's direction and authority since Heaven was another word for God to them and often is interchangeable with the word God as shown in some texts. This will be a Kingdom ruled by Christ here on earth when he returns the way David did and after whom this throne of inheritance is given. This is not something that has come out of the blue but is also a view shared by many scholars and denominations much to my surprise.
