  Suggestion for Christians: That week for any who have left the WT and become Christian and who have family still in could coordinate a group of prayer warriors in your church that week to pray for the campaign to be successful and family to have eyes opened.

  If even a few of us do this every day the effect will be to drive hundreds or thousands more visitors to freeminds.org every day.

  We may not ever be able to reach our jw's but we can reach the public. Don't underestimate what telling one person can do. Years ago the resturant business used to say that one bad comment by a customer reached 200 people eventually. Individual anti witnessing is effective.

  It doesn't take long to deliver anti jw literature that exposes the wt. Writing letters and call into radio programs when they are discussing a high media case of another death of jw due to blood, there are many ways to alert the public even if you only do it once a year.

  For the psuedo jw's on board who are shocked 'we' actively work 'against' the wt, why be shocked? the wt has said it is not persecution to expose and do it publicly that a relgion is a false religon. So you should be happy we are following the wt's advice! Besides, isn't that what the wt does on a weekly basis? trash all the other religions?

  Freedom yes, but to end up in some Fundamentalist Church is hardly progress. The Trinity and Hell, come on, replacing one set of superstitions for worse ones is going backwards.

  OK peeps, this is about preventing people from getting involved in the first place. That means the target audience is the general public, which means mass communications are necessary (media).

  I'm crossing out the elements of the other campaign which are aimed at helping cultists on a small scale, one-by-one. That's a separate thing for anyone who wants to participate, just click on the link to the other thread (see OP).

  I'm adding some explanations so hopefully the point will be more clear.

  MAIN ACTIONS

  1. Stop financial support permanently-August 2009
  2. Fade-August 2009
  3. Other actions suggested in the other thread-August 2009
  4. Write letters or emails to other dubs about false teachings/scandals, with copies of proof (can be done anonymously)-Now through October 2009
  5. Mass writing letters to hq--with a goal of 1 million letters arriving within the same week (emphasizing pain caused by false teachings, abuse, shunning, or New Light) -see below for time frame. The one and only purpose of this action is to get media attention, which will prevent people from joining the cult once they learn the truth about it.
  6. Mass writing letters to editors--with a goal of every newspaper printing at least one, simultaneously. The one and only purpose of this action is to get media attention, which will prevent people from joining the cult once they learn the truth about it. Mention in your contacts with the media that ex-jws across the globe are sending letters to hq simultaneously to ask them to stop their high control tactics, shunning, the blood policy, hiding abuse, etc. That is what's called 'newsworthy'. Generally you can't get any media attention about something you're just complaining about; there has to be an actual event to report in order to make it newsworthy. In this case 'the actual event' is 1,000,000 letters being sent to headquarters all at once.

  SECONDARY (LOW PRIORITY) ACTIONS

  1. Mass mailing to anesthesiologists and other physicians (I provided a link earlier to a downloadable brochure)--with a goal of every physician who transfuses blood to receive education about how to handle jws, simultaneously. The purpose of this action is to educate physicians about the blood issue, and hopefully this new knowledge will spread to others. Namely, that many jws don't believe in the blood policy themselves and don't follow it, but are afraid to be honest about it to their clergy because of the punishment involved.
  2. Mass mailing of educational materials (I provided a link earlier to a downloadable brochure)--with a goal of every child abuse clinic to receive education about abuse in the jw cult, simultaneously-see below for time frame. The purpose of this action is to educate child abuse clinicians about the abuse issue, and hopefully this new knowledge will spread to others.
