I think a major part of this may be what I'll call the entertainment factor. I remember when we used to do the count after meetings it never failed. If the talk was a good one and delivered well we always collected a load of cash. IF the talk was bad or poorly delivered, there was little or nothing collected. I was surprised at this, but it never failed to happen. At least in this part of the country the JW organization is has suffered alot from losing alot of it's young ppl. The ones who are left are not good speakers or really competent at anything. What you have is a bunch of ppl who are sick and tired of waiting for Armageddon to come. A bunch of ppl who are bored to death of the routine. Why do you think regular churches often put so much emphasis on things like musicals and choir groups? The WTS had better wake up!
