Like Eskimos and snow we have about 132 words for it. Latte, cappuccino, espresso, mocha, shot in the dark...(wet or dry? decaf? room?)
If you're in line in Starbucks you better know what be ready to order when you get to the front. If you're a regular at one of the stands the barista will know what you want before you get there and will already have it started.

I thought it would be a good time to mention this:
In English, barista is a name applied to a person, usually a coffeehouse employee, who prepares and serves espresso -based coffee drinks. The word is borrowed from Italian, where it has a wider meaning of "bartender". The term persists in American coffeehouse jargon , with many employers such as Starbucks officially utilizing the title for such employees.
barrister n. in the United States a fancy name for a lawyer or attorney. In Great Britain, there is a two-tier bar made up of solicitors who perform all legal tasks except appearance in court and barristers, who try cases. Some solicitors will "take the silk" (quaint expression) and become barristers.
As members wear silk gowns of a particular design (see court dress ), the award of Queen's or King's Counsel is known informally as "taking the silk".
Isn't learning grand?
