It's not easy when you have kids to look after. I hope you and your wife can come up with something that gets you through this time.
My work has been up and down over the past year and a half. I was the only employee, and it has been hard on my boss too. I haven't had any work to speak of since the end of June. My rent is low, and I only have myself to take care of. In fact my goal in living here has been to lead a simple life with as few obligations as possible. For a while it worked. However, it finally got to the point a month ago that I decided to sell my truck and leave this island.
Right now, things could be much worse, I suppose. Until the end of the month I am basically on "vacation" on a tropical island in walking distance from the Caribbean. I get up early and go jogging. I may ride my bike around town, then come back to my apartment and surf the net. I can go snorkelling along the shore. I didn't really want to leave, but there are few opportunities, and the locals are better at networking for available work than I am. So, soon I'll be leaving on a jet plane... don't know when I'll be back again....
I am going to stay with my JW parents. I don't know for how long though. They are financially stable and have an extra room for me. I agreed to go back to the meetings for the first time in over three years to make them happy. This shall be interesting.
