I've tried the Atkins diet and I've tried being a Vegetarian. I prefer something a little more eclectic that either one of them so I ain't a gonna choose.

I don't think so. Moderation is the key to everythng in life, and anything seemingly good becomes harmful if taken in extreme measures.

Yes, hence my answer. Veganism can be healthy and therefore "moderate"; humans can't survive on a pure carnivore diet. A diet which will quickly make you sick and then kill you, is never "moderate".

One can live a full, healthy life as a vegan (so long as you supplement vitamin b12, and there are vegan sources for that). One cannot live very long eating only animal products. You'll die from constipation if the lack of nutrition doesn't kill you first.
