Definitely red. The revolting ancient Hebrew rites centered on repeated, innocent bloodshed (so the priestly class could enjoy a good barbecue without having to work for it).
And hey, the red-logo'd Devils made the playoffs in 19 of the last 21 seasons, praise Jah!

Stereotyping seems to have always been a process of "worldly thought". As far as the stigma of red hair, I would assume the tale of evil attributes were most likely born out of jealousy! Or it could have been xenophobia.
