How on earth can you compare a remote philosophical idea like the Trinity with the Watchtower's 130 year history of explicit lies that "The End is Coming Soon"? How does an idea of God being 3 in one EVEN BEGIN TO COMPARE WITH THE HARM CAUSED BY 130 YEARS OF FRAUD?

I believe that the disrespect the WTS has shown for the sanctity of life (blood doctrine, alternative service, etc) is a far greater affront to God and Jesus than overestimating the divinity of Jesus. Your opinion of the importance of the trinity over the importance of other doctrines is just that: an opinion. Unless you can prove biblically that believing that Jesus is subordinate to God is of greater importance than obeying the two commands that Jesus said were most important (love of God and neighbor, which necessarily assumes respect for life). Jesus made a far bigger deal over the importance of mercy over sacrifice than he did over his status as a divine being.
Special Pleading is a fallacy in which a person applies standards, principles, rules, etc, to others while taking themselves (or those they have special interest in) to be exempt.
The options are not just between dog doodoo and a lovely, but poisonous meal. Would being presented with those two choices prompt you to eat the poison? Would you not sooner seek out a new menu or prepare your own meal or just go hungry?

JWs don't believe in the Trinity , but they try to prove that Jesus is Michael with no basis in scripture.
"Theres no scripture that says God is a Trinity" they will say.
There is no scripture saying "Jesus is Michael" but they believe that.
That poison illustration fits the witlesses perfectly. I have seen the effects of their poison--being worried sick when I see Christmas decorations for sale or hear Christmas music, dreading my birthday, having to do field circus all the time, not having enough time to myself, and wasting the time and money to comply with their demands. Others have also been affected by this poison--ruined childhoods, having no fun at school (or flunking classes because they could not study for tests because of field circus and boasting sessions), and being afraid of normal activities.
And, with the witlesses, it is a couple of drops of good food mixed in with the poison, not a couple drops of poison mixed in with the food.
Using the witnesses' own standards, everything they offer must be pure and true or none of it is of value. If some of the "lesser" teachings of JWs are false, of what worth are the others? If it is alright to ignore false teachings in favor of true, then there is no reason this cannot be applied to other religions that have the "important doctrines" correct.

I have always thought that JW's since Rutherford have had a great insight into marketing, and anything that is different and seperate from (traditional) Christendom is something that they will look into and adopt whenever possible or convenient.
Thats why you can not celebrate birthdays (pagan) but wedding anniversaries are ok.
Christmas is pagan, but many JW's do something on New Years eve, even by watching it on TV. Or fireworks on the 4th of July in the USA.
You can't light candles in a KH (pagan) but you can wear a wedding ring (VERY pagan in origins)
One big key to understanding JW leadership mindset is to realize that it doesn't matter so much to them if its wrong, so long as it is different and creates a contrast they can attack.
LOL JWS do feel they must have everything right but have so little right.
