In any rate, it is from the Quaran that anyone that leaves the Islamic religion is punishable by death. She isn't the first person to be killed for becoming a Christian.
We have a Pastor from our local church who visits Pakistan twice a year and goes to see underground churches there. He testifies about many people who accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior being killed for leaving the Islamic faith. Even a woman whose husband killed her after he discovered a bible hidden in their bedroom. He dragged her by the hair outside of the house and in front of everyone, beat her to death. When he was covered in blood, those in the Islamic faith cheered him for killing her. A woman in a Islamic faith has no rights at all and is considered a property by the husband.
