I would favor all judicial hearings to be subject to recording, with the recordings being posted online (audio and video). That would keep them from abusing the situation with specious questioning and non sequiturs that would make them look like idiots to the public. And, if they do continue being abusive, the videos would be posted online for any prospective study to view before joining the religion.
In cases of actual crimes (I am here defining a "crime" as any act where the perpetrator initiated the use of force, threats of force, and/or fraud against another person or their property and not as an act that some lawmakers with time on their hands decided to criminalize), there should be a police report. If the defendant is found guilty by due process of the law, they are automatically disfellowshipped (subject to appeal only if due process was subverted in any way)--and should not ever again be put in positions where they can repeat the offense as part of their official duty.
Dress codes are subject to local change. This means that, if "sisters" are out in field circus in very cold weather, they can wear pants and long underwear instead of a skirt. If pants are the norm within business attire for women, "sisters" should be allowed to wear them to the boasting sessions and out in field circus. No one would have any right to hound another person about wearing reasonable attire--such as putting on the sweat box when it is too hot.
No more pio-sneers. Also, no more being committed to putting in a slip in the box every month. This would put a stop to all those long coffee breaks, long drives to nowhere, people dragging themselves to field circus when other necessary things are being neglected at home, and studies that go nowhere. There would be less time actually spent doing field circus, but it would be better time--it would be the wasted time that would go first.
Markings as bad associations would be strictly limited to the two things that are explicitly mentioned. People would be marked as bad associations if they are habitual freeloaders (a freeloader is one that does not want to work, yet is continually imposing on others for basic items like food and lodging, despite having the means to find and hold a decent job), or if they are in everyone else's business. Under no other circumstances shall a person be marked as bad associations. Not for marrying an unbeliever. Not for going online. Not because they don't have "enough" time in field circus. Not because they are prone to excesses in eating, drinking, or smoking (though some may find being around a heavy smoker offensive solely because it stinks or they are sensitive to smoke). Not because they have a lot of money because of hard work.
No more hounding people for missing boasting sessions, or dragging people to the boasting sessions. In order to have triple digit attendance, they would have to rely solely on making it beneficial to attend--and making sure the benefits are real so they can hold their own against people going online and cross-referencing them. If people attending boasting sessions were helped in real life, they would be more likely to continue attending them without being hounded.
All resolutions have to be passed without coercion. If there is any coercion used to get everyone to pass a resolution, it is automatically killed. That would mean they would have to have meaningful discussion, and if enough people are against it, they would have to improve or kill it (and, if they get taken to the back room, that automatically kills that resolution).
Making it permissible to use copyrighted songs in worship, under the condition (strictly enforced) that the original holder of the copyright be compensated and properly credited. If copyrighted material is found and not properly credited, it gets removed pending getting the rights properly secured to use it (including any royalties). I guess Vangelis would have liked that--getting royalties for the use of Kingdumb Malady 42.
Additionally, individual members are permitted to submit songs for worship on a local level. They could be implemented in a local congregation by popular vote, pending only that it doesn't blatantly go against reasonable doctrine or is blatantly blasphemous. If a song is reasonable, it would be used locally. If other congregations start requesting such songs, they can be distributed in those congregations, even becoming regional. Ultimately, they could be adopted by the whole organization if enough regions want them. This would force better material to be available, and new material would be continually coming in from the members. Eventually, one might find more than 100,000 quality songs that can be used, mostly local and regional--making some element of surprise for those attending the boasting sessions.
It is reasonable that, if someone can prove a doctrine wrong using the Bible, that the doctrine shall be automatically altered upon submission to a committee of duly appointed people of both sexes. The bad doctrine would be submitted, along with scriptural proof that it is bad, and it would have to be altered to fit the correct viewpoint according to the Bible. While this would do nothing to prevent bad doctrine because the Bible lies, it would help prevent doctrines that continually shift (submissions on false premises would not result in changes). If a valid proof of a bad doctrine is submitted and such change is not made, it would be subject to public humiliation (the bad doctrine, the proof, and what should be the correct doctrine would be posted prominently on public forums as well as having free discussion about it among the members).
Hounders that abuse their power are automatically removed, and could well be put out of the congregation altogether for oppressing the flock.
Disfellowshipped people lose their membership, but are not to be shunned by immediate family or close friends. However, depending on the offense (and especially if it involved being mean-spirited), individuals could choose to not associate with such ones because of its being unpleasant. No one could get disfellowshipped for associating with those who are disfellowshipped. Additionally, a member can quit without penalty--again, forcing them to create value for the members.
All holidays and birthdays are conscience matters (and, if anyone decides to force their conscience upon others, they could be marked as busybodies). There would be reasonable guidelines (not rules) that would assist people to get the most out of the holiday without excessive expense (or getting the most for the amount of expense), but it would not be enforced (meaning, if they want anyone complying, they actually have to be advantageous to follow). Of course, chopping someone's head off to celebrate a birthday would result in disfellowshipping (and a nice long jail term).
