I can think of a few halls in CT, doubles and triples, where relatively large mortgages were underwritten by the WBTS. The WBT$ referred to them as "low interest" loans.
It really felt like double dipping on donations from the flock.
One double KH in central couldn't afford the mortgage. They actually had other nearby congregations helping to pay the mortgage.
I never understood why the WBT$ couldn't just modify the loan, either extending it or cutting the principal. Now I do. They just guilt everyone into giving more.
