I quit turning time in and would get a call. At first, I made up some numbers just to get them off my back. That lasted two or three months.
By the time I was seriously questioning though, the elders knew they had a doubter on their hands. I got a couple of sheparding calls that didn't go so well (for them). By that time, they had quit asking for my time.
With the exception of those couple of sheparding calls, once I was inactive and not showing up, I was forgotten about. (so you're not alone Quirky). It's an eye opener to see how little you're missed or cared about when you go AWOL.
