When I left, there was one that fit this description to a T. Just wait until they get of retirement age, and their health starts going to crap. They have nothing for retirement, and the kids will have to work double to support them (plus pio-sneer). This is going to ruin their health as well, and they could well end up dead before they reach age 60 because of this.
have you ever wittnessed the fall of an "alpha family"?

I didn't witness the fall, my mother told me what happened but I had known this family when I was a teen:
Bro. Love was one of the promient elders in the cong, a very quiet and stern man. His wife, Sis. Love was queen bitch (I don't say this lightly, I really think she was bi-polar and mean on top of that. She nearly ruined her oldest daughter's wedding, the screaming was incredible). They had three children, one boy and two girls. I don't remember the son's name, he was the oldest, married with a small child (a cute little girl) and a MS, the girls' names were Susan (took after her mother and had a mean sense of humor) and Jane (I still don't understand how she could be the only sweet one in the family).
Mother told me about ten years ago that Bro Love died walking home from the train station on Ralston Ave in Belmont CA, just a few yards from his home, a car hit him. I know exactly where it happened. At that point Ralston Avenue has a very slight sidewalk on a blind curve, I'm surprised more people haven't gotten hit there.
After Bro Love died the son dumped his wife and child, left the "truth", and took up with a worldly woman.
Now I know I heard this second hand from my mother but I don't doubt that the son left (for whatever reason), he never seemed that strong in it and in my opinion was only there because of his parents mainly his father. I am a witness to the son's wife saying that the only reason they got married was all their friends had and they were the only two left so they got hitched - I thought that was kinda sad. It wasn't a compatible marriage, from what I could see he was very cold to her but she loved him to death in spite of his coldness.
Oh and Bro Love wasn't a born-in, he came in to marry Sis Love. I guess he liked that kind of drama.
