Most likely the cocktail of sleep inducing drugs and their accumulative effects had weaken his heart and respiratory

system over a period of hours even before the propofol was administered.

When you have been lying in bed for hours and been given numerous sleep

medications your heart rate and blood pressure lowers naturally.

Pretty dumb and dangerous thing to do to give a person a super strong anesthetic like propofol

after a lengthy amount of those sleep medications.

I've had Propofol recently for a back operation and it puts you out in about 4 or 5 seconds.

Sounds to me this doctor realized what he was doing was unprofessional and unethical and was trying to

to stop the procedural use of the drug but the persistent super star who had always gotten his way one way or another

pushed him to a level of unprofessional actions which in the end essentially made the doctor assist him to his own suicide.

When you look back a few years and compare Elvis Presley's death to MJ's there are obvious direct similarities .

You have a bunch of observant yes men surrounding the super star's commands and wishes and in both cases it was the overly use of pharmaceutical

drugs taken in a irresponsible way to eventually cause death. The only difference between the two was MJ had a licensed doctor

at his side administering the drugs, Elvis just had a group of hillbilly Go boys .

MJ stated once to Lisa Marie that thats how he was going to end up discussing what happened to her father ..........MJ was right.

That's a hell of a lot of Benzodiazapines BEFORE the Propofol. Regardless of tolerance, he did'nt weigh much. Large doses of those meds will shut your body down.

I can't understand the actions of this physician for the life of me. I administer these drugs with a crash cart 18 inches away and a drawer full of reversal agents. The patient is constantly monitored and it is my only job to watch the monitor and the patient. There is nothing that could make me deviate from my protocols and routines. Doctors and nurses are not robots and mistakes will happen but this guy should never ever practice medicine again.

As its been noted through the media, Dr.Conrad Murray was in deep financial trouble and he very much needed the monthly contract of $ 150,000 pr/mth.

to look after MJ's medical needs, it was truly a gold mine of a contract. Unfortunately as it turned out the doctor became none other than his live in drug pusher

and his professional attributes of being a doctor for the benefits of improving ones personal health got thrown aside.

Some intersting information of Propofol , pulled of the Net.

Unpredictable and profound effects. Propofol dosing and titration is variable, based on the patient's tolerance to the drug. Profound changes can occur rapidly.

A patient can go from breathing normally to a full respiratory arrest in seconds, even at low doses, without warning from typical assessment parameters.

No reversal agent. Unlike other sedation agents (e.g., midazolam, morphine), there is no reversal agent for propofol.

Adverse effects must be treated until the drug is metabolized.

After reading the stories about MJ's relationships with many, many willing doctors, I feel a bit sorry for Murray. Its like he was in an insane version of musical chairs and he happened to be the one standing there when Jackson's heart finally stopped. I wonder how many doctors are thanking their lucky stars it wasn't them?

I'm sure many of them are thanking their lucky stars it wasn't them.

Dr. Murray was just the one who got caught.

I wonder if the doctor's own common sense went askew after being up most of the night

trying to get MJ to sleep. How mentally alert can a normal person be after a night like that.

Not to make excuses for the guy but that has to be added to the whole event and its outcome.
